What are the outcomes of testicular tissue cryopreservation in children? I'm Alex Halpern, research fellow from Children's National, and this is an article that you should know. To try and answer this question, McCulley et al studied pediatric patients who were prospectively enrolled in a clinical fertility protocol from 2015 to 2023 at a single institution. Testicular tissue cryopreservation was performed in 144 patients. Most patients were pre-puberto and had a diagnosis of malignancy. There was a low rate of procedural complications, and germ cells were present in nearly all tissue samples.
