Addressing health equity in pediatric surgical care in the United States– Progress and challenges

This article examines persistent disparities in pediatric surgical care access and outcomes across the United States, analyzing how social determinants of health impact vulnerable populations. The authors review current progress in addressing these inequities while identifying remaining systemic barriers and proposing strategies for achieving more equitable surgical care delivery for all children.
